HeliStorm has teamed up with IRCHA and completely reimagined how scale helicopters are represented at the IRCHA Jamboree — and how competition in the scale community should be run.
For as long as most of us can remember, the rules for competing in scale helicopter contests were rigorous and intimidating. We have changed all of that.
On the flying side, judging has always been a bit opaque. Current rules also lack a standardized and objective method to reward pilots who perform more difficult maneuvers.
HeliStorm convened a panel of experts to create a brand new set of competition classes and judging factors — so everyone can challenge themselves in competition.
NAMFI (Northern Alliance Military Fly In) is about all the best model military aviation in Minnesota! This is a giant scale event beginning on Thursday and runs through Saturday. Event apparel for sale, food vendors, and raffle items onsite. NAMFI is a pilot-friendly, non-competition event with spectators welcomed!

Join us for a laid back week of flying with friends, as we close out our event season.
The runway is 800' x 50' perfectly smooth and flat asphalt with a 1000' x 75' parallel grass runway.
The airspace is wide open with unobstructed approaches for take off and landing from either direction.
Flight line shelters and tents to watch the action between flights. The overnight storage tent keeps the models out of the elements at night.
